What a Wild Rainy Season we had this year in Southern California! 10 inches in a day in some places??? Crazy stuff!!! Our first rain happened on November 15, 2023, and the last rain (not yet final) is probably March 7, 2024. Here is a list of our storms from this season.....

Total Rainfall: 19.7 inches

Storm #1

The first storm of the season happened on 11/15/2023. It was a small storm producing less than expected with a total of 0.3 inches.

Storm #2

Finally we had some significant rainfall to get the year going with over an inch of rain in North Orange County.

Storm #3

The last storm of 2023 came in on 12/28/2023 to finish out the year with a significan two thirds of an inch.

Storm #4

This was a quick storm just lasting a few hours, putting down a quarter of an inch total.

Storm #5

After a quiet start to the year, we finally get some significant rainfall with over two and a half inches coming down over three days.

Storm #6

The storm of the DECADE at my house, and a STORM OF THE CENTURY for some places around Los Angeles that received ten inches in a single day. My totals were over 8.2 inches (my rain gauge actually overflowed) . It was pretty wild to see this tropical river hit Southern California.

Storm #7

On the heels of the massive storm, we received another 2.75 inches over about 3 days.

Storm #8

Just when we thought things were slowing down, we get another 2.6 inches when the storm produced a bit more than expected.

Storm #9

Just when we thought things were going to dry out, another half inch comes down over a day and a half.

Storm #10

Again, thinking we were done, a small little storm came in and dumped a 0.7 inches at my house - 0.45" on Wednesday, and 0.25" on Thursday with a one-hour storm cell rolling through. As you can see from the model, this was not expeced to hit us on Thursday the 7th.

I think this will be the last storm of the season - we will see if we get any more.
