What do I do now? I was counting on having the fabulouse Honeybaked Ham Champagne Mustard, but they were out..... Now what. I went searching for copy-cat recipes and here is what I found.

It Is A Hard Recipe To Find!

I went searching but it isn't clear how they make it. If you look back at the ingredients, there isn't much to it.

Ingredients

Here is a website that had the ingredients: https://www.fooducate.com/product/Honeybaked-Champagne-Mustard
    Ingredients
  • Sugar
  • Wheat Flour
  • White Wine
  • White Distilled Vinegar
  • Mustard Seed
  • Salt
  • Preservatives

Food.com

There recipe calls for a ton (1 cup) of dry mustard, 1/4 cup honey, salt, champagne, and fresh lemon juice. They also say "Aging this the 3-4 months as recommended will give you a delicate and smooth mustard."

My Take: This is not the same recipe as Honeybaked, but it might be very good

Recipe Goldmine's Version

I saw this version a couple of times. It looks like it is pretty good, as the few reviews I read said it was fabulous.

Christina J Warren's Version

There were a couple of these versions as well with good reviews. Athough I don't think this is a winner, it is probably really good. One thing it is - SIMPLE, which has a lot going for it especially if it is good. https://christinajwarren.com/2014/01/08/champagne-mustard-dressing/

I Will Try To Make Three Versions

We will see if I have time to do this, but I will attempt to make three of my own renditions of this and have a taste test on Christmas.

Colman's Mustard vs The Rest

I can't seem to find Colman's Mustard readily available, and since I always try to find economical versions, I will probaby try a generic ground mustard and see how it goes.
